dc.description.abstract | Prostate cancer is a common type of cancer amongmen. Recently, studies on new anticancer agents ofherbal origin in the treatment of cancer haveincreased. Haplophyllum buxbaumii (HP) is aperennial herbaceous plant. Studies have reported thatHaplophyllum subspecies has antioxidant properties.And the anticancer effect of HP is unknown. Thisstudy aims to reveal the apoptotic effect HP onprostate cancer. The cytotoxic effect of HP wasevaluated by the MTT method. In addition, apoptoticpathway mediators were analyzed by ELISA method.HP extract application reduced the viability ofprostate cancer and activated the apoptotic mediatorswhile decreasing anti-apoptotic mediators. Our studyshowed that HP extract has an antiproliferative andapoptotic effect on prostate cancer. | en_US |
